Objectives and Initiatives
There are many challenging issues faced by teens, single parents, and families dealing with autism. Some of the challenges are; poverty, lack of education, physical/emotional/mental weariness and abuse, lack of skills and more. The challenges that they face not only affect the life of the individual but could affect the community they live in. We believe that by obtaining knowledge and information we can create positive change. Our goal is to equip and empower these individuals with the necessary tools to make wiser and responsible decisions to create a more secure future for their families.
This fun life changing experience is designed to help children, teens, and young adults gain personal power (S.T.O.P.), self-esteem, self-confidence and balance their lives while creating and developing friendships and life long memories. Activities include field trips, beauty days, and more.
Bright Angels at Hearts goal is to empower families utilizing tools such as assistance in obtaining G.E.D.’s along with workshops, seminars, webinars, counseling, life coaching and community resources, tutoring sessions and more. We believe that by introducing these life enriching tools our clients will gain information and skills which can advance them to a higher state of independence, enrich their livelihood and become more skilled managing their lives.
These resources target areas ranging from parenting skills, financial stability, resources related to employment, life management skills, goal setting skills, leadership and relationships, just to name a few!
Research has shown that teens, young adults, single parents and families who suffer from mental/emotional challenges of Autism who participate in Bright Angels at Heart services have accomplished personal goals, learn new skills, and develop social skills and respect for others. They achieve a positive sense of self-worth and usefulness. Our clients have gained confidence, built healthy relationships with their families, peers and communities.
